BIOGRAPHY

Growing up as an Iranian-American, I would consider myself as being very diverse from a young age. Because of my unique background, I've always been open-minded and have always seen things in different lights than my peers. I decided to take those qualities of mine and put them to use through writing, which I discovered to be a true passion of mine at the age of fifteen. I spent most of my time during my four years of high school completely dedicated to our school yearbook where I was the Editor-in-Chief and well experienced in editing, layout and design, copy writing, and publishing. Upon graduation from high school, I decided to further my education, as well as my passion for journalism, by attending Florida State University and majoring in Editing, Writing, & Media with a minor in communications. I have taken classes such as Advanced Writing and Editing, Article and Essay Techniques, Rhetoric, and Writing and Editing in Print and Online. My career goals are to go to graduate school for journalism upon finishing my undergrad, and then obtain a career whether working for a magazine, newspaper, public relations firm, and so on, where I can use my writing and editing skills to the company's benefit. With the education and experience I already have, I hope to further it through my next year at Florida State and through landing an internship to help expand my knowledge of the world of editing, writing, and media.
