Word Documents

This eight-page paper was written in my Article & Essay Technique class where I learned all about American Essayists and nonfiction writing and editing. This paper was workshopped several times by myself and peers.

This eleven page research page is about the effects of current media and advertisements on girls and their self body-image. Completed with in-text citations and a works cited page.

Unlike most papers on novels, this paper analyzes other author's takes on Jane Eyre focusing on specific elements such as religion and feminism in the novel.

This paper analyzes Aristotle, Peter Ramus, and George Campbell's theories of rhetoric compared against the 2012 Florida State Football Entrance video.

Online & Printed Work

This Tumblr blog was created as a "remix" project where I took well known movie and television scenes and transformed them into memes for an advice column.

Layouts and Spreads

Directed to an incoming Editing, Writing, & Media student, this mini-magazine was created in InDesign to explain the different aspects of the word 'kairos.'

Another Tumblr site I created as my part of a group project. This blog focuses on domestic violence and how to find help and spread awareness on this cause.

Using PowerPoint, I created a mock or remix of the popular blog "Dear Sugar." I replicated the same design from TheRumpus.net, and added my own twist to it as if I was the actual advice columnist.

This is the cover of the yearbook in which I was editor-in-chief for and designed. The emblem on the cover is an actual letterman used on jackets that we hand assembled to every book.

This page is the opening page in the book where I wrote the copy and designed the layout. The picture is from a senior 'blacklight' pep rally, and the copy gives clue to the theme of the book.

This is an example of one of the four spreads used throughout the book. This one was also designed by me, done by a staffer, and then edited by me once again.

This is the closing of the book where I used my opening layout and reversed it for the ending to establish continuity  throughout the book. This was written by myself and the following editor-in-chief.
